In 1985 Ross Power created The Key Largo Undersea Art Gallery with “Future Wave” and “No Turning Back” where he submerged his art in the ocean for one year to acquire its ancient patina. A patina that would be seen on land after the art was retrieved from the oceans depths. However, when Power saw the marine life interacting with the art he became inspired to expand his design to allow the art to become kinetic with the marine life’s movement and remain forever in the sea. The art is the environment.
